Conductor
Panagiotis Karamanos is a passionate conductor, educator and trumpet player based in Sydney Australia. He is an experienced conductor who studied under renowned conductors including Dr Carolyn Watson, Dr John Lynch, Dr George Ellis and the late Richard Gill AO.
He has conducted groups around Sydney including Bondi Brass, Sydney University Symphonic Orchestra, Rosemont Chamber Orchestra and has assisted other ensembles by conducting various rehearsals for them, such as Barker College Orchestra, UNSW Strings Orchestra, Australian Youth Choir and the Regals Musical Society. He is the founder, conductor and director of The Modést Orchestra, a professional Sydney-based orchestra that performs unique programmes featuring well-loved works to newly commissioned compositions. Panagiotis has successfully directed numerous dynamic concerts with The Modést Orchestra, including the Melbourne Tour and premier of Odysseus Odysseus Live in collaboration with Luka Lesson. Panagiotis has a strong Music Theatre background having been the Music Director for two shows (Chicago and The Addams Family) as well as the Assistant Music Director for Carrie. |

Trumpeter
As a performer, Panagiotis frequents Sydney's gig-scene as a trumpeter. He most often plays as an orchestral player and a pit-musician in musicals He has played trumpet in Carousel, Parade, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Addams Family, Oliver!, Cinderella, Into the Woods and Wicked.. He has performed in a whole myriad of genres and situation, constantly evolving his craft. His current project is to master the art of Multi-tracking. Which you can see with this link here!

Having played trumpet since 2006, Panagiotis has not been satisfied with one instrument. Opting to expand his skill and versatility as a musician by playing all of the following instruments:
